Pubs to eat at in london

My wife and I don't drink, but want to find a good cozy pub for some traditional food. We don't need fancy at all, just want some good meat pies, bangers and mash, and other comfort food. Anywhere around Kennsington, Mayfair, Westminster, whitechapel....we are just sticking to Central London and the major attractions as this is our first london trip.
