So my brother let the curtains go inside the baseboard unit

Yeah the ends of the curtains started burning and then smoke started coming out of the baseboard unit. I see a bunch of these black spots inside the baseboard, any advice would be appreciated.

For context, I turned it off asap from breaker and I’m freezing my ass off lmao.
