Is it Frowned upon to still live with your parents at 30?

A friend of mine is 31 and still lives with his parents. He has Borderline Personality Disorder and a physical handicap, which makes living independently more challenging. Some people in our social circle think he should have moved out by now, while others understand his situation.

What are your thoughts? Is there still a stigma around this, or is it more accepted these days?"
