How do I structure my essay??

Im in my first final year and I’m struggling with my first essay of it. Any advice or recommendations on how to structure it, and how many points/references im looking to have would be appreciated.

The question is as follows:

“Do and should the Scottish courts follow the decision of the House of Lords in Murphy v Brentwood London Borough Council?”

The word limit is 2000~ and my opinion is. O they should NOT follow it and the now overruled case of Anns was more fair and just.

Any recs on structure and references etc? Thanks, im so out of my depth.
